Small Business Saturday 2016 … “If we don’t have it, you don’t need it”

That’s one of the favorite sayings of Canton Co-operative’s Senior Vice-President & Chief Lending Officer Stan Taylor.

Stan always says it with a smile but it totally applies to the services we offer here at Canton Co-operative Bank. Especially to the very wide variety of loans and loan options available in the Lending Department.

Canton Co-operative is a small business. As are most of the businesses here in Canton, in New England, in the United States and around the world.

Small businesses can do a better job for customers because they’re closer to customers. They’re more likely to be unique and to share the values of their unique communities. Since today’s technology gives even micro-businesses the ability to compete point-to-point with some of the largest businesses in the world, a lot of local people feel like being able to work directly with local experts in local businesses gives them The Best Of All Worlds.

At Canton Co-operative, we’re delighted to promote small businesses – both ourselves (it’s the Bank’s 125th anniversary this year) and the many, many others here in Canton and the surrounding towns.

It turns out we’re in good company. American Express, a very large business, started Small Business Saturday in 2010 to “encourage people across the country to support small local businesses.” The Small Business Administration (SBA) calls it a day to “celebrate and support small businesses and all they do for their communities.” And they make it easy to find good local small businesses too.

As usual, Small Business Saturday 2016 is the Saturday after Thanksgiving … on Saturday, November 26th. So there’s an “official day” to support local small businesses.

If you have questions about saving or borrowing or about managing your money – on November 26th or any time! – come see us or call 781-828-8811. We’re always happy to see you, always happy to help.

Celebrating our 125th Anniversary in 2016, Canton Co-operative Bank is located in downtown Canton at 671 Washington Street, Canton, MA 02021.
The main phone number is 781-828-8811.
