Canton, Mass. – Canton Co-operative Bank President & CEO Nick Maffeo has reported that long-time staff member Mary Bocash has received her “15 Years of Service” Award at the local independent community bank. She was also given the new title of Operations Manager to better reflect her role at the bank.
“I knew Mary Bocash before she joined Canton Co-operative,” Nick Maffeo said. “So I was aware that she was planning to only be at Canton Co-operative Bank temporarily. I always joke with her that 15 years is a pretty good run for a ‘temporary’ job. But Mary fit right in here from the start and we are delighted to have her on the staff. Customers come in and ask for her specifically. They say, ‘Oh, is Mary here?’ That speaks volumes about how much they like her and trust her.”
“I came here as a teller,” Mary Bocash said. “And over the years I have had the chance to learn and grow professionally. It keeps things interesting – which is one of the great things about being with Canton Co-operative Bank. That and getting to work one-to-one with our customers and being able to really help them.”
Mary Bocash is a graduate of Bridgewater State University and she holds a real estate license. A Canton native, she lives in Canton with her husband, Don, and their 3 dogs.
Canton Co-operative Bank has been Canton’s neighborhood bank since 1891 and is rated “5-Star for Strength & Stability” as “one of the strongest banks in the country,” according to bank-rating service BauerFinancial of Coral Gables, Florida. All deposits are insured by the FDIC and the Share Insurance Fund (SIF). The phone number is 781-828-8811.
