Electronic payments may be clearing your account/s more quickly …

Something you should know…
Effective September 15, 2017, U.S. banking system/automated clearing house (ACH) improvements rolling out nationwide mean electronic payments may be clearing your account/s more quickly.

As you may have noticed, improvements to the automated clearing house (ACH) system about a year ago meant deposits often got credited to your account faster … which people loved.

And now this year, electronic ACH payments are going to start to be debited from your account/s faster too.

We want you to know that – starting on September 15th – all of the electronic ACH payments (debits) you make could clear your account/s much more quickly and possibly the same day.

To avoid overdrafts and insufficient funds fees, it will be more important than ever to have sufficient funds in your account/s to cover every payment you make on the day you initiate it. You may also want to get into the habit of reviewing your account/s regularly using Canton Co-operative’s Online or Mobile Banking.

Online & Mobile Banking have proven to be safe and convenient ways to manage and monitor your accounts and take advantage of banking-system improvements.

If you’re not using Online and/or Mobile Banking yet and you’d like to start, they’re both super-easy to set-up online.

If you have questions about the ACH improvements or setting up Online or Mobile Banking, come see us or call 781-828-8811 x5.

Canton Co-operative Bank is located in downtown Canton at 671 Washington Street, Canton, MA 02021. The main phone number is 781-828-8811.
