Connections free checking – specially-designed for the young people in your family, and for you

Canton Coop Bank Welcome signCanton Co-operative Bank has been Canton’s hometown bank and part of a lot of local families’ lives since 1891.

Now we’re there for young people ages 13-24 and their parents/guardians with Connections Checking – a free, full-featured shared checking account that gives young people checking along with a debit card, online banking, Mobile Banking, Direct Deposit, ATM surcharge rebates nationwide and a companion savings account.

Parents/guardians get co-ownership of the account along with the convenience and peace of mind that comes from being able to transfer money in anytime, monitor spending and set low balance alerts.

Connections Checking also gives young people the chance to develop a good relationship with a community bank. We look out for our Connections customers who are starting to do banking and money management for the first time. If they have questions, we’re there for them. They can always reach us by phone, online or here at the Bank.

Parents tell us, “I’m glad my kid is getting an account with you!”

What’s interesting is that some kids whose parents are not currently customers of Canton Co-operative are the ones who have been asking their folks to come in with them to get a Connections Checking account. They want that debit card, the online banking, access to popular apps like Venmo – and they like taking the “next step” of having a checking account of their own.

It’s easy to open a Connections Checking account. Come see us, call 781-828-8811 x5 or email our New Accounts people.
