Canton, Mass. – As part of its 125th Anniversary Celebration, Canton Co-operative Bank will be sponsoring a free community Shred Day on Saturday, June 11th from 9AM until noon at the Bank’s Main office, 671 Washington Street in Canton Center.
According to AVP/Director of Residential Lending & 125th Committee member Bela Vasconcelos, “We know people have personal and business documents they’d love to dispose of securely. That’s why we’re hosting this free Shred Day, bringing in the Bank’s own shredding company with their mobile shredding truck. It seemed like a perfect tie-in with our 125th Anniversary program of community events.”
“People are welcome to stop by the Bank now for a free 125th Anniversary tote bag to fill with documents to bring back on June 11th. Or they can use their own container/s,” Bela Vasconcelos added.
Up to 2 bags or 2 boxes of documents per person will be shredded. Free 125th Anniversary cupcakes and free gifts will be provided by Canton Co-operative Bank. Non-perishable donations for the Canton Food Pantry will also be collected at Shred Day.
Celebrating its 125th Anniversary in 2016, Canton Co-operative Bank has been Canton’s neighborhood bank since 1891 and is rated “5-Star for Strength & Stability” as “one of the strongest banks in the country,” according to bank-rating service BauerFinancial of Coral Gables, Florida. All deposits are insured by the FDIC and the Share Insurance Fund (SIF). The phone number is 781-828-8811.
