Canton, Mass. – Canton Co-operative Bank will be sponsoring its 4th annual free community Shred Day on Saturday, June 1st, from 9AM until noon (rain or shine) in the parking lot at the Bank’s Main Office, 671 Washington Street in Canton Center.
According to Vice-President/Senior Loan Officer Bela Vasconcelos, “We are asked all the time when the next Shred Day will be – it has become a very popular annual event. Lots of local people seem to have personal and business documents they’d love to dispose of securely. At Canton Co-operative, we’re delighted to help make that happen for them.”
Up to 2 bags or 2 boxes of documents per person will be shredded.
Free cupcakes and free gifts will be provided by Canton Co-operative Bank.
Non-perishable donations for the Canton Food Pantry will also be collected at Shred Day.
Canton Co-operative has been Canton’s neighborhood bank since 1891 and is rated “5-Star for Strength & Stability” as “one of the strongest banks in the country,” according to bank-rating service BauerFinancial of Coral Gables, Florida. All deposits are insured by the FDIC and the Share Insurance Fund (SIF). The phone number is 781-828-8811.
