Canton, Mass. – Canton Co-operative Bank President & CEO Nick Maffeo has reported that Vice-President/Senior Loan Officer Anabela Vargas has received her “10 Years of Service” Award at the local independent community Bank.
“Many lenders only see the numbers,” Nick Maffeo said. “They don’t really see the people. What makes Anabela Vargas unique is that she sees both. She really cares about the borrowers she works with – about them getting not just financing but the right financing for their specific situation. Canton Co-operative Bank is a trusted local lender and a large part of that is due to Anabela Vargas.”
“The philosophy at Canton Co-operative is all about making sure we’re doing the best for the borrower,” Anabela Vargas said. “It’s easier to make an impact for borrowers here because we take the time to listen to them and truly consider what they need. We actively look for ways to make good loans happen. That’s what this genuine community Bank has always been about.”
Anabela Vargas is a graduate of Bridgewater State University and the New England School for Financial Studies. A volunteer with both the Canton Helpline and the Canton Unit of the Salvation Army, she lives with her family in Raynham, Mass.
Right next to the Post Office, Canton Co-operative has been Canton’s hometown bank since 1891 and is rated “5-Star for Strength & Stability” as “one of the strongest banks in the country,” according to bank-rating service BauerFinancial of Coral Gables, Florida.
