Canton, Mass. – Canton Co-operative Bank President & CEO Nicholas (Nick) Maffeo received his “15 Years of Service” Award at the Bank’s 2019 Annual Meeting.
“Canton Co-operative has been an independent local bank since 1891,” Nick Maffeo said. “Every decision we make here is about improving the Bank for our customers and employees and to be a ‘good neighbor’ in the community. That’s the history of this Bank. It’s the future too. We want to be able to make a difference in our community.”
“A lot of communities have lost their local banks, but not Canton,” Maffeo continued. “The technology has changed tremendously since I joined Canton Co-operative in 2003. And we’re always investing in technology and systems to make it even more convenient for people to bank here. But we will never lose touch with what makes us Canton Co-operative, which is a genuine dedication to helping local people make the most of their opportunities.”
A Canton native, Nick Maffeo is a graduate of Providence College and UMASS/Boston. He was also a Captain in the Army National Guard. Before joining Canton Co-operative Bank as Vice-President & Treasurer, he was an Examiner for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).
